ORIGINAL POST: Marc and I are about to start work on Chapter 21 and in the meantime we give you this INCREDIBLE poster courtesy of Marc to show off a bit of what you can expect from the next chapter. There’s some clues in there.

Seriously, how gorgeous is that thing? Marc is leveling up yet again. I could bear to add text to it.

Right now, Chapter 21 is titled “Alliances.” I fully expect that to change, so think of that title as more of a theme. Thrice Evil’s arrival in Earth-Abbadon is going to mean big things and big changes for just about everyone. Loyalties may shift a bit. Should be fun stuff.

    Wow, wow, wow. Marc this is AMAZING. I love the composition and the highlight of each character.

    I thought there might be a nod to the actual alliances in place based on the vertical split of the image, but Percy being up top is interesting. He is depicted as flying away…

    Doc Rocket in the bottom left, not depicted with Zurida and co. Interesting also. What exactly is he turning his back on?

    I rather like how Dark Maiden’s lasers divide the top and bottom just like a comic book panel border. Ah! Marc! Brock! I miss you guys!

UPDATE ON CHAPTER 21 – AKA “WHERE WE AT?”

Greetings, SuperFans! I’ve been getting lots of messages recently asking what’s up with SF and if it’s even coming back. Let me settle that question straight away… YES. It’s coming back. But it’s coming back a little more slowly than either you or I would like.

Fact is, Marc and I are in very different places in our lives than when we first got started on this journey together. Kids, jobs, and other responsibilities take their toll. Were it not for Patreon I sincerely doubt we could keep this thing going (thank you, Patrons!), but it’s no secret that even Patreon does not bring in anything close to a living wage. What it does bring in is important (yay for paid for art supplies!), but, much as we wish it was otherwise, other things often have to take priority.

Okay, so that’s what’s going on. The good news is that after taking a much needed break work on Chapter 21 IS progressing! Here’s a sneak peek at some teaser art for the first panel of that chapter:

I wish I had a return date locked down, but I don’t. Chapter 21 is outlined, the initial scripts are ready, and Marc is working on art. This is good news. More news and peeks soon. I can’t wait to start telling you about some more about the story in this next chapter. It’s gonna be epic.

THE SUPERFOGEYS 2016 RETURN DATE!

Man oh man. We did not intend to be gone so long! We’ve never taken a break like this. NEVER. A full year. Wow. We hope to never do it again. Why have we been gone so long? C’mon, you don’t really care. You just want to know when SuperFogeys is coming back. Well, I’ll tell you…

THE SUPERFOGEYS RETURN MONDAY, AUGUST 1st, 2016!

That’s just a short two weeks (and some change) from now! What? You want more news? Okay, I’ve got two more things to share:

1) We’re going back to a twice-weekly schedule, Mondays and Wednesdays. The three-times-a-week thing we did for Chapter 20, but life demands we slow our roll a little bit. HOWEVER, we reserve the right to kick the schedule back into high gear if our buffer warrants it.

2) Chapter 21 is entitled “Death and Destruction.” I’ve been going back and forth over what to call this next chapter. It’s pretty action packed, and, as you can tell by the title I settled on, some big stuff goes down. It even sees the return of old time fan favorite Death, M.D., so you know it’s gonna get a little crazy, a little weird, and a lot deadly.

That’s it for now! One of the things (if not the biggest thing) that allows Marc and I to keep SF going at all is the kindness of our Patrons on Patreon. We did this for free for years, but with increased family and work responsibilities, it’s just not possible to keep justifying the time commitment without at least a little bit of cash flow. SuperFogeys will always be free to read for as long as we’re doing it, but if you enjoy what we’re doing and have got even one spare dollar a month, it sure would help us out A LOT.
