There’s more to come from Star Matron meeting Dark Maiden, but this is a fun primer. Marc did some fun stuff in this one. I love Starbrighter’s reaction in panel 2. Not hard to picture that one animated.

So, like a lot of you, I have family coming into town for Christmas. My brother and his wife were supposed to come in on Friday from Boston, but their flight got delayed enough to miss their connecting flight from San Francisco to my hometown. So, I drove the three hours to the San Francisco International airport to pick them up… only to find out they made a stop in Denver, got snowed in, and couldn’t leave. For six hours they were stuck on the tarmac, finally getting off only to discover the best the airline had to offer them was a discounted hotel and a the possibility of getting on a plane in the morning… that was already full.

So… I waited at the airport until this thing was figured out, trying at first to sleep in the chairs, then finally going back out to my van to grab a half hour before I shivered so hard I woke myself up. Finally, at 9am the next day, my brother and his family actually did get on a plane and headed my way. When they finally arrived, I was dog tired… and had three hours to make it back home to capitalize on the Rogue One IMAX tickets I’d already purchased. Amazingly, we made it in time, but by the time I got home, I had been essentially awake for 36 hours straight. Needless to say, I crashed.

And the moral of the story is… don’t watch Star Wars if you’ve been awake for more than 24 hours. I’m still not totally sure the movie was any good. I’m told it was.

See you on Wednesday with 721 – “Requiem for Money Man!”
