I have to say it’s crazy fun to work on this alternate reality. I love what Marc did here with the Thrice Cave. OF COURSE it looks just like Thrice Evil’s head from the outside. Y’know, Thrice, that might be why you get party crashers.

…okay. At this point Dr. Evil of Austin Powers fame is more of a credible threat than this “Avalon” version of Thrice. I want to say part of the problem is that this entire scenario between the lodge and the interlopers seems cliched and well, done to death.
A fortress shaped like his head? Nice, dramatic, neither practical nor defensible. Also apparently no alarms set off to let him know the “good guys” are coming.
My only point being that everything thus far has only shown that there is nothing uniquely dangerous about this individual as compared to prior threats both Avalon’s hero’s and the main story fogeys have fought. If this really is our “mastermind” or guy behind things, I am going to be sorely disappointed.
Again, I think that’s actually the point. Up until now he HASN’T been a real threat to the Avalonian Society (the fight has been extremely one-sided and it doesnt really seem the society is even breaking a sweat, except maybe for that last panel). That’s why he’s been forced to seek greener pastures in another universe. Question is wether the consequences of his plan will be greater than merely establishing a link between worlds. Avalon Money Man brought a warning, but I highly doubt that Avalon Thrice Evil was the one he was warning against.
I must refrain from commenting on any of this, but I enjoy the conversation very much.
