Welcome back, everyone! Last week’s break was, I’m sure, completely unwelcome, but we both appreciate your patience and understanding. Your response to SF 500 was overwhelming and so, so positive. 107 comments and counting. For a webcomic with a modest readership like ours, that’s a big friggin’ deal. That makes today’s update sort of long-awaited. Money Man is back. Now what?

I know you must get sick of hearing about Mega Matt, but there’s honestly a small part of me that wonders if this is an aged Mega Matt and not actually Money Man.
That theory was floated a few times a couple weeks back. We’ll see if it pans out.
Why does that final panel feel familiar in some way ?
Could the Captain protect Money man this time around ?
How awesome would it be if Money Man just up and died in the next panel? I mean, what could be more surprising than that?

“New Age Nitwit” sounds like one of the members of the modern Society of Heroes. Or one of the most powerful supervillains ever. I’m not sure which.
It could go either way, that’s true. But you’re so right–that’s a great, stupid superhero name.

There’s that as well. Did you see Iron Man 3? Shane Black knows how to write henchmen. They were one of my favorite parts of a great movie.
I did, and I agree. The relatively minor characters were handled so well.. I mean, pretty much everything was, but they really stood out.
I still keep seeing Vincent Price in “Edward Scissorhands” with a wilder mustache when I look at Money Man. Particularly in the third panel. One seldom sees an expression that could be described as “ominous” in any comic. I imagine a scathing reply is headed Zurida’s way. MM seems like that kind of guy. Something like “You sadistic strumpet from the stars!” To Marc: the Vincent Price comparison is not a criticism in any way, I’m a huge fan of Mr Price. I think the look on his face in panel three is righteous indignation. A mixture of contempt and outrage about to explode. If I’m right you’re the first artist I’ve ever seen capture it and did a stellar job. Also, you should get some kind of award for “Best Eyebrows Ever” for the ones MM is sporting.

I’m so used to seeing 4 digit hands that MM’s hands look…wrong!
And yet they’re so, so right.
How did I not notice that before now. On another comic I read, “The Bean” the fingers on the hand is a tell for which race the different characters are apart of. Does that mean this MM is a dimensional interloper?
