One of the big themes of The SuperFogeys–and one of the big themes of my life, honestly–is that the failures and the tragedies we suffer and the sins we commit don’t have to result in a negative. They can be for our good, and in really powerful way that supersedes what might have been if things had gone our way. Sam bringing Percy back from the brink is a good example. He had the right words at the right time, and only because of the things in his life he’d rather were not so. There’s a powerful principle at work there that absolutely defeats cynicism. I really believe that.

My nephew Rich got ahold of his dad’s copy of SuperFogeys Vol. 1 and read it cover-to-cover in less than 24 hours. Check out his short video review right here!
