For those keeping track of the geography, yes, Avalon Thrice Evil did just sail over about 3,000 miles of terrain and land smack dab in the middle of the Las Vegas battle. In retrospect, this might be a bit too abrupt of a transition. Wouldn’t surprise me if we end up doing an in between strip of panels charting his course for the printed edition.
See you on Thursday with 894 – Idiot!
I’ll agree that it’s quite abrupt. (Particularly as Spy Gal was hit earlier, by a focused beam no less, and landed much closer. Admittedly the energies looked, and therefore probably were, quite different.)
But more than that, landing square in Vegas does take impressive accuracy over 3,000 miles. I’m not complaining about that level of coincidence. I trust and expect that this apparent implausibility will be explained in due time. Mr. Heasley, you’ve more than earned our trust on this.
I would anticipate a special addition for the printed edition to make better sense of this. We don’t often make changes or additions after the fact, but the great thing about online comics is that you really can use them as a first draft.
